Genetic collection of sturgeons in Kuban
Scientist-breeders from Kuban are spawning starlet and sturgeons in special conditions. The Krasnodar Territory has 40 enterprises spawning sturgeons, most of them receive hatchlings from the Federal Breeding-Genetic Center of Fisheries, Yuga.ru reports.

International Workshop on Sturgeon Aquaculture Farming
On April 2nd and 3rd 2012, Sturgeon Aquafarms (SAF), will host an international workshop on Sturgeon aquaculture farming to include: sexing through ultrasound and conservation techniques.
9:00-17:00 A visit to Sturgeon AquaFarms with Mark Zaslavsky, Drs. Chebanov and Galich as they instruct us on the latest ultrasound sexing techniques as related to the Sturgeon species raised at SAF.
Conference programme includes a practical workshop on sexing and gonad maturity staging, which will be conducted by Prof. Dr. Sc. Mikhail Chebanov and Dr. Elena Galich from Russia.
4th Sturgeon Conference held in Warsaw on 24th November 2010
After comprehensive introduction there was extraordinary practical workshop on sex and gonad staging identification. Participants were divided in 3 groups because of so many people and allow everyone to see and hear well.
